Position Summary
The Health Education Intern for Hult Center for Healthy Living (HCHL) is part of a dynamic team of professional health educators committed to motivating to provide youth in our community with comprehensive health education. Interns are responsible for observing, assisting the educational staff, and implementing engaging and interactive programs. Interns will also assist with new program development and evaluation and effectively communicate with educators, other staff members, and community members. Interns are to assist all departments at HCHL to be able to adequately understand how a non-for-profit health education organization functions. This is an unpaid position.

Master’s-Level Public Health Internship

Position Summary
Master’s-Level Public Health Interns are part of a dynamic team of professional health educators and community leaders who are committed to improving the health of our Central Illinois community. Alongside Hult Center’s professional public health team, interns will have the opportunity to navigate through essential services of public health, including monitoring the health status of our community health problems, educating and informing community members on a variety of health topics, developing programs and interventions, evaluating those interventions, and working across sectors and with a variety of community partners to support improved community health. Interns will also learn the “behind-the-scenes” administrative processes of a non-profit organization, including grant writing/reporting/management, budgeting & finance, human resources management, marketing, donor development, and more. Specific projects may be considered; please reach out to the team to discuss specific project/capstone ideas. This is an unpaid position.

Additionally, Hult Center for Healthy Living requires each intern to complete a criminal background check and drug screen before their start date. In addition, proof of updated vaccinations, including flu and COVID-19 vaccinations is required for all internship positions.
